Circle of Friends® is an evidenced-based program developed at the University of Helsinki, adapted in the U.S. to curb the loneliness epidemic amongst older adults. Outcomes include increased subjective health and decreased health care costs and hospitalizations. Program meets twelve times over a 3-month period doing activities within the session themes of exercise and wellness, creative arts and culture, and therapeutic writing and reflection.
This program is funded in part by the State of MN Department of Human Services Live Well at Home grant, and the Older Americans Act through the Central MN Council on Aging.
